President and Founder
Alysse Soll is the President and Founder of NewModel Advisory, leading a team of domain experts committed to sourcing innovative technologies to drive the best possible outcomes for companies and properties in traditional sectors including sports, advertising, and media.
Alysse is a 17-year veteran of the National Hockey League, launching the San Jose Sharks in 1990, where she pioneered fan acquisition platforms adopted by all NHL teams and other North American professional leagues. At the NHL, Alysse first launched and led the Fan Development Department driving global fan engagement through an era of unprecedented growth. She later launched the NHL’s first marketing department, driving digital engagement and programming.
Alysse moved from sports to driving innovation in digital media and AdTech with senior positions at Time Warner, digital advertising, and mobile agencies. Alysse is a co-founder and investor in Sports Tech and Digital Media startups.
In the world of Finance and Capital Fundraising, Alysse is a Managing Director of OmniCap LLC, a FINRA Broker-Dealer (Series 7, Series 63).
In the world of Sports Tech, Alysse is the Deal Co-Chair and the Sector Lead in Sports / Sports Tech for the Harvard Business School Alumni Angels of New York. She is the Board Chair for WiST, (Women in Sports Tech) where she leads the Sports Tech Accelerator Alliances and writes the Women in Sports Tech Leadership Series. She is an Advisor to Sports Tech startups including SportsHi, Helios Hockey, Ghost Pacer, Healium, Uplift.AI, nVenue and Obsesh.
Alysse is a judge and mentor across Sports Tech accelerators including Stadia Ventures, Mass Challenge, leAD Sports and Comcast/NBCUniversal Sports Tech.
Alysse is a graduate of Cornell University with a BA in Japanese Studies and Harvard Business School, Advanced Management.
As a former athlete, world-class figure skater and Varsity Ice Hockey Player, she knows a thing or two about discipline, grit, patience, and practice. She is a proud mother of an amazing teenage daughter who keeps her on her toes.
